Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

podbrief.ai ("we", "our", "us") provides podcast summarization services through our mobile application. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Subscription and Billing

• podbrief.ai offers a free tier (limited summaries) and a Pro subscription (unlimited summaries).
• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system.
• Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Billing occurs through your Apple ID account. Payment is charged upon purchase confirmation.
• Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice.

3. Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until then.
• We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods. Refund requests are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

4. Account Deletion

• You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings > Delete Account).
• Deleting your account removes your Firestore data (summaries and account information) and your Firebase Authentication record.
• Account deletion does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through Apple ID settings before or after deleting your account to stop future billing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to bypass subscription limits, reverse engineer the app, or use automated tools to generate summaries at scale.

6. Intellectual Property

AI-generated summaries are provided for personal use. You retain any rights to the podcast content you submit; we do not claim ownership of your data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy of AI-generated summaries.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Privacy

Your use of podbrief.ai is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
